As part of the BD² Integrated Network, the DCC provides technical and logistical support for iterative cycles of data aggregation, analyses, and implementation.

In partnership with people living with bipolar disorder, clinicians, and researchers, the BD² Integrated Network brings together a community committed to dramatically improving systems of care and accelerating research. Integrated Network sites make up a learning health network (LHN) with the goal of rapid integration of data analytics from research to inform clinical care.

The Brain Omics Platform analyzes a variety of epigenetic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and other omic characteristics of human brain tissue from people with bipolar disorder. Our partners conduct state-of-the-art research to develop the molecular atlas of neural and non-neural changes in people with bipolar disorder.

The Discovery Research program aims to delineate the causal mechanisms of bipolar disorder. The network of interdisciplinary researchers strategically advance our understanding of bipolar disorder and accelerate the development of effective interventions. Funded teams share resources, data, and progress with other teams in the network throughout the funding period.

The Genetics Platform advances our understanding of bipolar disorder genetics, including nuclear and mitochondrial genetics. Our partners collect and genotype an unprecedented quantity and diversity of samples from people with bipolar disorder to decode the complex genetic architecture of the disorder.
